This is really at an alpha stage of development, but it's already useful so I thought I'd put it live. It shows you what a web spider would see when looking at a web page. It can be useful for resolving search engine optimisation problems.

My motivation for this was that I missed the Poodle predictor so much I got off my behind and thought I'd make this (basic) replacement. I guess it doesn't look as good or work as well, but I've already spotted some things in my websites that I need to fix so hopefully you'll find it useful too. Anyway, I'm after suggestions on different ways to improve this tool, I think over time I'd like to make it something of real benefit to webmasters.

It's pretty easy to use, just put the address of a web page in the box below and click submit, any issues come up in red or orange.

Since this is so early in it's development I would appreciate your comments and suggestions to improve this tool, let me know your thoughts:

To Do

  1. Make this look better
  2. produce a final report - maybe produce a pdf
  3. improve the 'http://' string detection.
  4. Move the css into an external file, put it into my css framework, cross browser test.
  5. Sort out the colours of the warnings etc
  6. Reformat the headers and meta tags sections as these simply use the raw php output at the moment.
